we're the highest paid tambays!
As a callboy who works every night, five days a week and 9 hours per day, my body really needs some time to rest! Talking to customers and satisfying their needs is no joke! There comes a time when you ask an apology even if the mistake is not yours, an idea so contradicting to my principles!
Being a callboy would also mean you have to be empathic!
But the borderline between empathy and sympathy is too thin. A thing that i've been contemplating until now since i was subjected to some private sessions with our QA analyst due to my inconsistent QA scores. Every customers rants would merit an apology! If it goes beyond certain policy, you have to ask for apology. If there are some errors on your part, of course, you owe them an apology but if the mistakes are with the clients, you own their apology! PAthetic isn't it?
Thus, it is inevitable for us to vanguard certain stressors that will cause us sick! Physically, our body clock is not normal being awake at night and sleeping in the morning. Sitting for eight straight hours will also cause backpains. And yes, you will definitely have some hearing disorder for having your headset on and an eye disorder for facing computer daily.
Needless to say (pero sinabi ko pa rin), every restdays is like a christmas to us! Not because we expect and give gifts but because we totally wanted to relax and wear a smile on this days, spend it with loved ones and of course make the most out of it!
But sometimes, i prefer hugging my pillows and stay all day in bed than going out with friends, spend money on wants ( i prefer buying what i need ) or tambay somwhere else! Its best to regain strength after a week of labour and preparing one's self for another weeks of work.
They say (and i say though), that call center agents are the highest paid bums!
Amen to that! Who am I to disagree anyway!hehehhe
