Melbourne in a flash!

Melbourne is the most  populous city in the state of Victoria and the second most populous in Australia after Sydney. It was founded in 1835 and the home of more than 4million people!

Melbourne takes particular pride in their heritage. Old building lined up with new ones in a fashionable manner and in a great state! The government pays attention in preserving their heritage and their culture.

After 17 hours of flight time and lay-over, we finally reached Melbourne at 10AM of April 14. The hotel was not hard to find as there was two bridges linked to the hotel from the arrival area of the airport. We followed hotel signs and we got to the hotel at exactly 11am.

We were welcomed by  the Director for Sales, Assistant Manager and hotel staff with their Duty Managers were quickly introduced. We checked in and refreshed then started working after lunch.

We started the day with a Site and Room Inspection the Assistant Executive Manager. We made a tour along the entire property, check room ameneties, inspect every room category and check hotel facilities. The tour commenced at their restaurant with an extensive dialogue about other hotel details and charges.

Meetings here and everywhere! Walang katapusang meeting!

We were waiting for a free time to get into the city but you can't escape for an hour unnoticed.

The second day was dedicated for city tour. And pinakahihintay kong part wherever I travel. Sarap magpakaturista!lol

The City Tour kicked off at Melbourne’s major parks and conservatory, followed by a tour on their famous football stadiums, next was their gothic housing architecture, we had a chance to see Egyptian Exhibition with authentic relics and artifacts at the museum tour, their bayside million dollar residential area, and the Shrine of Remembrance, St Paul’s Cathedral and Flinders station to name few.

Every corner of the city including the suburb area was covered by the tour and we head back to the hotel using their public transport around 1pm.

The tour covered the ginormous facade of State Library, Shopping and entertainment districts, Cathedral, Tram Station, Melbourne Aquarium, to name few.

It was an awesome experience! An awesome all expense paid trip! Wala nkong masasabi [bka pagbayarin nila ako..lol]

I shall return! And this time, i'll make sure its purely leisure and pleasure :)
