It's surprising how they managed to transform a once sleepy neighborhood into some foodie destination. All thanks to a wonderful concept of merging the Filipino carenderya set-up and a sumptuous authentic Japanese resto. All hail - Kaito Japanese Carinderia.
Located along the corners of General Juan Luna and A. Apolinario Streets in Barangay Bangkal, this resto is a crowd drawer in terms of flavor, ambiance and authenticity.
Their Japanese menu is soo extensive that commercial restaurants serving bento would be too shy to even dare upstage theirs.
It was a late night decision when me and Chase decided to take some stroll away from the usual 7Eleven instant meals and dragged our feet to this place. It's a short walk from Evangelista but believe me, it's worth it.
I was so glued to their menu that I even have a hard time deciding one for myself.
Turn out, my decision for a Teppanyaki Bento is the best one i made that night.
I was so inlove with the place and the food that I have to bring a new recruit the next day to spread the word.
