By the way, before we'll post the beneficiaries of the project, allow me to introduce to you the men and women that i had the pleasure working for the past few weeks.
"... For all those who make this dream into reality, we salute you for your generosity and may god bless you a thousand folds.." But for those who are still willing to help for the second wave of the project, you are still welcome to donate. | |||
Kudos to everyone! Except for me of course who didn't make it because i'm a slave! A corporate slave at that! But needless to say, I am so happy that everything is fine regardless of the delay of other donations from whom I felt sorry for.
These are the people who come all the way from different parts of the province and the archipelago to personally hand in their donations.
It was almost 7 years ago when i first met the contours of these mountain. It was an adventure with my friends one saturday noon. We were merely staring at the slopes of a far flung mountain when the team decided to go wherever their finger points to. And off we go on our long journey. With a backpack and some junk food and bottled water, we set foot on a huge mountain unmindful of the danger and the risk it brings. After all, everyone's after of a great adventure.
But these young men and women came here not get an adventure. They were here to give back the love they get from their loved ones the whole year round. And its time to share their countless blessings to those who needed it the most. The locals on the remote parts of Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.
Did you see how steep the mountains are? The terrain going to the adopted barangay is definitely not easy. They needed to walk a mile or two, climb a hanging bridge and cross rivers to send the goods. And it was no joke walking under the scorching heat of noon.
They were selfless, hardworking and above all generous enough to spare their leisure moments for charity. Some are back to the province for vacation and some are for christmas breaks.
And the journey begins and so is the adventure....
Watch out for the Gift Giving and the people that made this project possible.
