Celebrating Culture and Creativity in Dapitan City

It was truly a pleasure to meet Regional Director Noemi Bernardino Edaga of the Philippine Information Agency - Western Mindanao. Her leadership and dedication to fostering communication and information across the region are truly inspiring. The day was made even more special by the warm hospitality of ma'am Kat Uyehara Hamoy and Britz Hamoy, the gracious hosts and owners of the Balay Hamoy Museum. Their passion for preserving history and culture is evident in every corner of their beautiful museum, making it a place where the past comes alive.

I also had the privilege of meeting ma'am Sofia Bagolboc, the curator of the NHCP Museo ni Rizal. Her deep knowledge and commitment to keeping the legacy of our national hero alive through the museum’s exhibits is remarkable. The day wouldn’t have been complete without the presence of ma'am Adz Saga Rio, an amazing painter whose artwork captures the essence of our culture with such vibrancy. And, of course, it was an honor to connect with Chaps Muleta, the literary champion of Zanorte, whose words continue to inspire and move many.

A special thanks goes to Sir Ryann ZE for the invitation that brought us all together. The experience was both enriching and inspiring, filled with meaningful conversations and artistic expression. I look forward to future opportunities to collaborate and continue celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Western Mindanao.
