Recently, I had the opportunity to share the insights and knowledge I gained from my APO Scholarship with the creative industry sector of Zamboanga del Sur. My presentation focused on the global agenda for creative and cultural workers, highlighting key trends and strategies that are shaping the industry worldwide. It was an exciting chance to bridge the gap between global practices and local opportunities, bringing a fresh perspective to our vibrant creative community.
During the session, I emphasized the importance of understanding global trends and how they can be adapted to fit our local context. From digital transformation and the rise of new media to the emphasis on cultural preservation and innovation, these elements are crucial for driving growth and sustainability in our creative sector. The discussion also included practical strategies for leveraging global insights to enhance local creative projects and initiatives.
The feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing eagerness to apply these new ideas to their work. It was inspiring to see how the global agenda can influence and uplift our local creative landscape, and I’m hopeful that the knowledge shared will spark new opportunities and collaborations in Zamboanga del Sur’s creative industry. This experience reaffirmed my commitment to supporting and growing our local talent while staying connected to the broader global context.
