Kwentong SONA, sana, bahala nah!

What it means?

State Of the Nation Address. Yesterday's SONA was the seventh of PGMA. I could hardly recount her years at Malacañang but one thing is for sure, she had been there for seven years now and another 3 years prior to the 2010 presidential bout. Akalain nyo yun! Yung pinanganak nung sya'y umupo bilang pangulo ay Grade four na pag sya'y umalis sa pwesto! Unless she has "future" plans to run on 2010 or better still, won't finish her term for another people power!

Some-Other-Nonsense-Address. Last year's SONA was full of jaw dropping and ear breaking rants she had about her super regions. She aimed at connecting the three group of islands through RORO and Airports. She bragged about bridges to further transportation of goods. But yet again, they were not given follow-up this year! She brag about the Law enacting the protection of "kasambahay" a better if not the bitter word for "muchacha"! No doubt she'll be made into an icon or even a patron saint of every housekeeping boys and girls and be made a statue on her honor, a better alternative of her usual effigy burned on the streets! No wonder, after all she's Gloria Labandera! She's one of them.

What do you expect?

Let's not focus much on the culprit here. Let's take a look on her accomplice! Tadaaaaannn..!

"ladies and gentlemen, wearing a Louis Vuitton baro't saya and a quarter million prada hand bag is house representative..."

Another highlight I often wait every year. Aside from the usual concentration i poured over the culprit's speech, i can't help but notice how every pork barrel eater (if harry potter has death eaters, the congress has too) disguise themselves to some eye catching outfits and expensive gowns. Perchance to hide themselves from the real motives of their presence. But no piece of linen or piña cloth could hide the tarp they're wearing daily as if it was a name tag labelled "COrrupt"! Gwen Garcia of CEbu wore an orange gown na ever sakit sa mata! And thanks God Akbayan Rep. Rissa Hontiveros-Baraquel have not worn a fantasy attire! They've probably forgotten the ocassion is not meant for them to get an Oscar or an Emmy Award. I can't expect much on this year's SONA. She didn't even made one for us to look forward to. Not even a minute promise was told. After all those were all meant to be broken.

How will you rate it?

Her almost 45 minute speech is unbankable.
All those airports that she made mention are quite impressive but impossible. True! Provinces had been opened to flight commercialization but lets take a look on the real situation. At once let us be realistic! The Pagadian airport she mentioned yesterday was quite awesome. But see it for yourself. You will not even think about it as an airport. Idagdag mo na rin ang Ozamiz airport. What i'm trying to say is, napakaliit nya and the security is at risk! As far as rating is concern, her SONA is rated ZERO.

At least by her confidante no less than Gwen Garcia herself. Ask her and she'll say Yes in whispering hiss!
