I recently had the pleasure of leading a Vlogging and Podcasting workshop for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lanao del Norte, as part of their organizational culture training. The session was attended by DTI provincial staff and employees, all eager to gain new skills and enhance their communication capabilities. The workshop was designed to equip personnel with practical knowledge and techniques for creating engaging digital content, which is increasingly important in today’s media landscape.
Throughout the workshop, we explored the fundamentals of vlogging and podcasting, covering everything from content creation and equipment setup to editing and promotion. Participants were introduced to best practices for producing high-quality videos and audio, as well as strategies for building and engaging an audience. The hands-on approach allowed attendees to practice these skills in real-time, fostering a deeper understanding of how to effectively use these platforms for both personal and professional purposes.
The feedback from the DTI staff was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing excitement about applying their new skills to enhance their communication efforts and contribute to the organization’s goals. It was rewarding to see the enthusiasm and creativity of the participants, and I’m confident that the skills they’ve gained will be valuable assets in their roles. This workshop was not only a chance to develop new talents but also an opportunity to strengthen the team’s ability to connect and share their message with a wider audience.
